I hadnīt really read anything in print in English for the last twelve months except for science textbooks and technical manuals, so think Iīve gone a little bit crazy for “light reading” after I found an English bookstore and started borrowing books from friends. In about the last three weeks, I have read Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond, The Autobiography of Bertrand Russell, Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller, and Disease as Metaphor by Susan Sontag. Right now I am working simultaneously on The Chalice and the Blade by Riane Esler, The Road to Reality by Roger Penrose, and Hamlet (canīt remember who did that one). I am hoping to write a short personal review of each one, since they are all really good books, with the exception of Russellīs autobiography.
And yeah, yeah, Iīll also write something about whatīs going on in my life soon. For now, just know that itīs a lot of computers and AC during the day and a lot of heat and dust otherwise.
