Taking a Very Long Vacation

I am done with my job, and starting a very long vacation. In the end, Felipe and I didn’t find anything that seemed worthy of publishing, so it looks like I won’t get my name on any more papers. This was disappointing, but it doesn’t mean that my time was wasted at work over the last three months. I learned a lot about programming using C and Mathematica, and my Spanish is a lot better. I did even create something that’s potentially useful, for Felipe in his daily work and perhaps for other people. I’ll make a separate post about this.

(Update: The Semi-Automatic Transcendental Root-Finder is published on its own page.)
So I packed up all my stuff and hopped on a bus to Buenos Aires, Argentina. It’s a world-class city of 12 million people, on the north part of Argentina’s coast. I am writing this post from my friend Ren’s posh apartment in the near Western suburbs. She has a patio and a grill. Every day I spend here pushes back my departure date by two. More later if I have some time. I haven’t seen a cloud since I got here…
